New website: A Love Collection
YAY! A part of me inside is jumping for joy.
I have finally launched A Love Collection. It’s a new project that’s been on my mind for the last 2 years. You can find more about it here:
In summary, I’ve given myself a challenge to film 100 love stories from at least 25 countries within 3 years.
It’s quite a big challenge for me but I’m looking forward to seeing how it will unfold. I don’t have huge amounts of production experience and I’m not a videophotographer – so this is going to be errr … interesting!
And my brain hasn’t quite worked out how to do this while starting my own content branding production company (more on that in another post). It’s been an incredible year of change and transformation for me.
Letting go of control, letting go security, letting go of always being in someone else’s shadow.
Yea I’ve recently discovered I had a habit of helping others pursue their dreams while putting mine on hold. Now that’s changed. I help others pursue their dreams while pursuing my own – yay!
And I tell you what, it feels so incredible. I’m the happiest I’ve been in years.
I was so attached to living and staying in London I compromised so much of myself to stay. And then it occurred to me, if I live in London and I can’t do what I love what’s the point in being here (note: I’m relocating but will be in London every quarter so I’ll be around!).
I’m also incredibly stubborn when it comes to work so it makes sense for me to start my own business. It just took me a while to see and accept I have a lot to offer : ) I”m still trying to decide where I want to start and run the business but Asia looks appealing : )
Did I mention I’m the happiest I’ve been in years? I walk down the street grinning : ) What makes my heart sing from the inside out is not starting a business, relocating to Asia or launching A Love Collection.
It’s actually the responses I’m getting to A Love Collection. People really do want to open up to love and see how it exists in different forms. And I genuinely feel I can make a difference with this project. I potentially have love stories from London, New Jersey, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Ireland and Australia. And I only launched this project 2 weeks ago.
Plus I launched a “Lovers Lost” category on the site for those who want to share a love story of someone who’s passed away and 3 people have reached out to say they might want to share their story.
Ok I know the numbers sound small but the depth of the conversations I’m having with these couples or individuals is totally blowing my mind. I often end up in tears because I’m so moved. It finally feels like I’m doing something that is going to have a huge impact on the world. I have found my purpose for the next 3 years.
I know there is a lot I need to learn and a lot I need to figure out. But I’m up for the challenge! Hope you follow the journey with me on A Love Collection! I promise it’ll be expansive, entertaining and a little teary!
